Art With A Heart is pleased to announce several new programs that are available for adults for the winter months of 2023. Programs we have available are:

• 2SLGBTQ+ Empowered Arts, an Expressive Arts Mental Wellness Group
• BIPOC Empowered Arts, an Expressive Arts Mental Wellness Group
• Empower Arts: Coping Skills, a Virtual Expressive Arts Group 
• Let’s Create: Birch Trees and Pumpkins for Fall

Durham Community Foundation is one of many participating community foundations across the country taking part in The Fund for Gender Equality in Canada, a new collaboration between Community Foundations of Canada and the Equality Fund which is supported by the Government of Canada.

As Canadian communities work towards a just recovery and a future grounded in gender equality, the Fund for Gender Equality (The Fund) supports ambitious, local projects that advance gender equality. 

The Fund builds on efforts to shift power to women, girls, Two-Spirit and gender-diverse people, and will work towards a future grounded in justice and gender equality.

By participating in the Fund for Gender Equality, Durham Community Foundation is also committing to several other actions, including an examination of our own organizational and investment practices. By catalyzing the community foundation movement and the thousands of Canadians we connect with each day, we believe we can do more than just foster gender equality. We have an opportunity to begin removing the long-standing barriers to it.
