Our summer programs provide a meaningful opportunity for young artists to explore their emotions, build friendships, and develop their confidence through art.

Position Overview

Art With a Heart is looking for a dedicated Videographer to join our summer programming team for an 8-week contract. The videographer will oversee video production and document Art With A Heart’s community programming activities, events and summer camp programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document key moments from our Community Events and Summer Camp Programs
  • Produce promotional materials for Art With A Heart programming
  • Setting up and operating camera equipment
  • Coordinating with program staff for filming
  • Ensure media content complies with AODA digital communication standards
  • Ensure the material aligns with Art With a Heart’s mission of cultural celebration, community connection, and inclusivity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in video production
  • Proficient in a variety of digital platforms and software
  • Software, video creation and editing programs, web applications etc.
  • Creative mind with strong attention to detail 
  • Exceptional Communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, communicating effectively and professionally

This is a Government of Canada funded job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. The Applicant must be between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment; is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protections Act [S.C. 2001, c.27]; and is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Work Location: In person
