Empowered Arts Programs 2026
2SLGBTQI+ Arts-Based Coping Skills Group
The Coping Skills group is a virtual expressive arts group for individuals who identify as 2SLGBTQI+ and/or questioning. We will explore different art materials and art activities that help us quiet our minds and bring our attention to our artwork.
We engage in the present moment through the tactile and versatile nature of art-making. By learning new arts-based coping skills, we can foster mindfulness, promote relaxation and creativity, boost self-esteem, and develop creative strategies for self-regulation. Learning these coping skills allows us to continue to use them in our daily lives. We encourage and support each other, create alongside each other, and share this creative journey with our group.
